Stick around for this month’s featured act, The M and M’s: Lynn McGown and Michael Pratt have an infectious love of singing that has delighted audiences in Vancouver for forty years. They have played at the Vancouver Folk Music Festival four times; “They sing with a wonderful sense of fun, passion and with harmonies both beautiful and unique”.
Their songs range from traditional to contemporary but always touch the heart, entertain or delight, with their voices blending like fine wine making the harmonies beautiful.
Lynn’s musical roots come from growing up in a French Canadian and English family in Montreal. She has a beautiful voice and sings with warmth and presence that inspires.
Michael is an outstanding singer, concertina player and fiddler who draws from his Irish roots as well as his involvement in the Folk Clubs in the British Folk Revival in the late 1960s and 70s before moving to Canada.
