Burnaby Arts Council: Where Creativity and Community Meet

As a registered non-profit, we are committed to championing the voices of underserved communities through our exhibitions and programming. We work to engage our community through new ideas and perspectives, and create spaces where art is not just seen but truly experienced. We strive to include varied stories that are relevant to our place and time, and offer Deer Lake Gallery as a hub for community connections, education and dialogue, bold exhibitions, performances, and community-driven programs that inspire, challenge, and connect.

Deer Lake Gallery: Our Home for the Arts

Based in the cultural campus of Deer Lake Park, Burnaby, The DLG is an Art House that provides opportunities for emerging and established artists to create meaningful, thought provoking and experimental work. Founded by the Burnaby Arts Council, the DLG hosts 10 – 12 exhibitions per year, and acts as a host location for performances, concerts, and a variety of arts initiatives from partnering organizations.

Step inside Deer Lake Gallery (DLG), and you’ll find more than just an exhibition space: a home for artists, dreamers, and creative explorers.

  • Immersive exhibitions featuring themes of culture, identity, and innovation
  • Live performances, artist talks, and hands-on workshops that spark curiosity
  • Festivals and community events that bring people together
