Join multidisciplinary artist, Khim Hipol, in repurposing fabrics into textile art in association with ‘Walking to Know the Land.’
Dive into the world of rag weaving, a craft that pays homage to the time-honoured tradition of repurposing textiles. Bring your unused old t-shirts or similar fabrics-turn them into stunning woven creations that tell your unique story. At our workshop, sustainability takes center stage. Learn how to repurpose discarded shirts and give them a new lease of life through weaving. At this workshop, expect to access simple weaving frames, upcycling materials and on-site demonstrations. This event will focus on creating a small project that participants can take home.
