Calling all makers! Whether you decorate cakes, embroider quilts, conduct science experiments or design furniture, artist Gwenyth Chao invites you to come play with biomaterials at the DLG. In her work, Chao transforms compostable food refuse into artmaking materials like clay, composites, gels, putties and paper. Some of the materials she’s explored include carrot clay, lettuce paper, beet composites, gelatin rope and tapioca starch bioplastics. Come share your ways of making and co-experiment with Gwenyth in her DLG lab.
