Embrace the warmth of the holiday season and support the arts in Burnaby at the Deer Lake Winter Craft Festival, an annual celebration of creativity, community and craftsmanship.
Running from November 22nd to 24th, 2024, at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, this family-friendly festival is free to attend and features over fifty local artisans and makers offering unique, handcrafted goods perfect for holiday gifting. Shoppers will have the chance to meet the artists behind their favourite crafts, from jewelry and pottery to textile creations and holiday decor.
The festival features performances by local musicians and a craft table presented by BAC volunteers, where children can explore their creativity. Shoppers can also stop by the Burnaby Arts Council table to learn more about how to support our organization and enter a raffle to win more than $1500 worth of prizes, including gift cards, gift baskets, a spa treatment, and event tickets.
At the BAC, we’re inspired by the unique identity carved out by the Burnaby arts community, and we strive to amplify their stories. Proceeds from the Deer Lake Winter Festival support the BAC’s year-round efforts to promote and expand the arts throughout Burnaby.

“The Burnaby Arts Council has been championing the arts and playing a pivotal role in our community’s cultural and creative landscape for over fifty years,” says Maria Anna Parolin, co-chair of the Burnaby Arts Council. “As arts funding becomes increasingly scarce, our Winter Festival fundraiser is more important than ever. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Shadbolt Centre to experience the incredible work of these artisans and enjoy a memorable weekend with family and friends.”
