August 15 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
* Deerlake Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Sunday from 12pm - 4pm / Fridays - 12 - 6pm
This is a moment for you and your creativity. This two-hour workshop begins by engaging in breathing and movement inspired by Yoga practices. Participants will first check-in and ground themselves before diving into creative exercises that ask them to let go, take creative risks, and play. The creative exercises involve light movement, vocal exercises and putting pen to paper. A final meditation will allow the participants to reflect on the experience and record any feelings/ ideas. This workshop aims at teaching participants methods of embodying the creative practice and working through creative blocks. This is an in-person workshop that will take place socially distanced outside. Please bring openness and something to write with.
Admission is by donation so the workshops are accessible to our entire community! Our recommended contribution is $5 per participant. Space is limited to 12 people, so make sure you get your ticket as soon as possible!
This event will take place outdoors, in the backyard at the Deer Lake Art Gallery. As a precaution, we are asking that participants wear masks while participating in this workshop.

She teaches writing workshops on embodying the writing practice using her knowledge as a Yoga teacher. Franz aims to move toward creating out of joy and is working on her first full-length collection. Franz hopes you dream often; she hopes you find reasons to stay.
